Bear Love Flumie Training for Gong Players
Join us for a once in a lifetime opportunity to train under Master Flumie Player Bear Love, founder of B Love Professional Flumies and his partner Shion for their one and only 3 day training in North America for 2024! Each day we will be in training from 10 am to 5 pm. We are so proud to be hosting these 2 briliant teachers to share their wisdom of Flumies and Gong playing with us. This 3 day training is an invitation to deeply immerse yourselves in the Art of Flumie playing with Bear Love and Shion.
The three days will consist of a variety of teachings including refining technique, cultivating sensitivity in your gong playing, both on your own and with a partner or a group, as well as energy practices to support and deepen your inner presence as a gong player.

THURSDAY MAY 16TH: Trinity United Church
Church set up from 10-2 pm. Participants are welcome to come help set up 30+ gongs in the church.
Concert from 7:30 -9 pm featuring:
Denise & Ivan Blaney- Founders of Sound Journey Store

Luc Dupuis- Handpan and Didgeridoo maker.
This concert will include Crystal Singing Bowls, Euphonic Arrays, Handpan, Didgeridoo, Gongs, Flutes and 36" Native Gong Drum.

MONDAY MAY 20TH: SOUND JOURNEY STORE
An opportunity to become a "Certified Bear Love Flumie Instructor" will be made available on Monday. Only available to participants who have attended the weekend training can take this extra training. Please call Denise at 905-563-3234 to reserve your private 1 hour Instruction/Assessment with Bear. Fee is an additional $310 Can.
CONCERT TICKETS: Please note- Individual tickets to the concerts are available for people that wish to attend only the concerts. If you buy your ticket to the training, ALL concerts are already included in your training ticket price.Certification Questions
All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. If you wish to become a Certified Flumie Instructor please reach out to Denise. Private 1:1 testing will be held in private time slots on Monday at the store. The cost for "Flumie Instructor Certification" is an additional $310 CAD. Approximately $230 USD.
WHAT TO BRING
We will have a large selection of gongs and mallets for everyone to use at the camp. However, if you would like to bring your own gong or mallets, you are welcome to do so. Please be sure to mark all of your mallets with some way to identify them as yours. (Tape, paint, nail polish)
Bring a water bottle, comfortable indoor shoes (We are on the carpet and want to keep it clean), notebook, your favourite cushion to sit on and what every you want to be comfortable during the concerts (yoga mat, pillow, blanket)
LOCATION
Location is at the very beautiful Trinity United Church, 100 Main St W, Grimsby, ON L3M 1R7 Canada. Here it is on Google Maps
We will be in the main sanctuary with has stunning cathedral ceilings and lots of room.

The Closest airport is Hamilton. Next is Toronto.
ACCOMODATIONS

All participants will be invited into a Private WhatsApp group to they can discuss sharing the Air B&B or Hotel together.
FOOD
You will be responsible for your meals. We have several restaurants within walking distance. We will provide both healthy and not so healthy but ever so delicious snacks for you throughout the day. Be sure to bring your own water bottle.
SHOPPING IN THE STORE
Participants are welcome to make purchases of gongs and mallets at the camp. If you wish to visit the store, we will be taking appointments for the Monday and Tuesday after camp.
Extra Concert Tickets
Each participant will be given one free tickets to each of the three concerts. The concerts will be open to the public. Additional tickets are available here.
