What Exactly Is School Of Sound?
School of Sound Canada is a comprehensive, hands-on training program offering you the opportunity to learn from some of North America's leading teachers in the field of sound.
The Foundational Diploma Program provides you with 121 hours of core content, plus online learning hours. You then get to choose your area of specialization for an additional 24 hours of elective learning.
The Advanced Diploma Program requires you to continue your learning for an additional 40 hours or electives, specializing in an area of your choice. You may then apply for certification with the International Association of Sound Therapists.
How Do I Know If School of Sound Is Right For Me?
That is a great question.
Many schools charge an application fee; instead, we offer an introductory class. This allows you to experience our teaching style and determine if we’re a good fit for you.
Welcome to Fundamentals of the Art and Science of Sound Healing: The Essence of Sound Healing: Art, Science, and Tradition.
- In this introductory course, we'll embark on a journey to demystify sound healing, delving into its therapeutic applications, the profound impact it has on our well-being, and its rich historical roots across various cultures.
- We'll explore the intricate relationship between sound and healing, shedding light on how vibrations interact with the body's Chakra System, meridians, and reflex zones.

$350 CAD for this 8 hour Introductory Course

*This is a Prerequisite class and must be completed prior beginning the Core Essentials Class.

Will I learn how to play the instruments?
- School of Sound puts a wide variety of instruments in your hands, teaching you specific techniques to create the most effective sounds from each instrument. Once you complete your 121 hours of Core Module classes, you can then spend an additional 24 hours focusing in greater detail how to play specific instruments of your choice.
- We've heard complaints about other courses where students engage in discussions and demonstrations of various instruments but are not given the chance to play them. As a result, they often miss out on receiving guidance on specific techniques needed to produce the most effective sounds from each instrument.

What type of support will I recieve?

- At the School of Sound, we offer small in-person classes to ensure you can ask questions and receive the feedback you need while learning to play instruments. If you’re joining us via Zoom, a dedicated staff member will be at the computer to connect you with the class. Our faculty are recognized experts in sound therapy and related fields and will provide you with high quality instruction and mentorship. We pride ourselves on our quick response times, answering emails and phone inquiries within 24 hours. If you need help, Denise, Wyatt or any of the other teachers will be there for you.

Our program is accredited and eligible for application to the International Association of Sound Therapy, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to funding research that advances the science of sound as a powerful modality in modern wellness.

Is your course live, online, or pre-recorded?
School of Sound is a hybrid program utilizing a combination of In-person, Zoom and pre-recorded course material. Within this structure you have two options to choose from:
- In-person training (6 weekends) OR
- 5 day in-person intensive (One Week) plus 6 days by Zoom
Students are also required to complete:
- Additional assigned zoom classes which have a dedicated live support team that will enable you to ask any questions you may have and interact with the class.
- Additional online pre-recorded videos and lectures
- Electives taught In-person, by Zoom and Video

When will I find out the dates and content of my course?
- School of Sound gives you a complete list of all the subjects that you will be learning, including course descriptions, objectives and information about your teacher. You can follow the links here see all the dates and details for in-person option and the zoom option.
- In other courses, you sometimes receive your dates and details after payment has been made.
Verify the details of your learning experience, including the schedule before making a financial investment in yourself.
Can I take elective courses before committing for the full course
- Absolutely, YES! Elective courses are open to everyone, even people who are not registered in the Diploma program.
- If you do take electives, they can be applied towards your diploma in future.
Start part-time with electives, or full time with our core essentials program.
Do I need to complete my course by a certain date?
- At School of Sound, there is no required end date.
- Core courses must be attended on the specific dates they are offered.
- Electives and assigned course work can be completed at your own pace.
- You will graduate when you submit all of your assignments.
- In contrast, some other programs have a firm completion date which can sometimes put undue pressure on students, diminishing their learning experience.
At School of Sound, we understand that responsibilities of our daily lives can interfere with our plans for learning. With that in mind, we have not set a hard date for completion, thus ensuring student graduation with ease and success.

The base price for School of Sound is $6,900 CAD. Financing is available for an additional fee.

First Ten Students Discount Registered Save up to 20%
Pay $5,500 in full by etransfer and save 20% off the base rate of $6900.
Pay $5,760 in full by credit card/PayPal and save 16.5% off the base rate.
